POULIOT – Lorraine
1932 – 2021
Lorraine was born in Eldred, Saskatchewan. In 1952 she met André Pouliot and they married in October of 1953. Lorraine was a kind, caring, and gentle soul; her faith and family always came first, and she selflessly gave without the thought of ever receiving anything in return.
After marrying André, they settled on the Pouliot homestead in Debden where they made their home. Lorraine’s mother passed away in 1958 and they took in and raised the six youngest of her siblings, a few years later Julie and Alain joined the family.
Lorraine had a heartwarming smile that would always light up the room. She spent her spare time knitting, crocheting, and sewing, she also had a great voice for singing and loved to dance. She enjoyed a relaxing Sunday drive through the country, spending an afternoon at the lake, and picking berries with her grandkids, and she truly loved spending time with friends & family.
She will be greatly missed, fondly remembered, and never forgotten.
Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her daughter:
Julie Hamoline of Manitou Beach, SK and children: Chandy (Shane Lush) Hamoline of Calgary, AB; Adam (Kaitlin Kwochka) of Saskatoon, SK; her son: Alain Pouliot (Audrey Thomas) of Debden, SK and children: Sarah Brown of Saskatoon, SK; Mareika Thomas of Debden, SK; her sisters: Murielle Delisle of Calgary, AB; Paulette (Bill) Renwick of AB; her brothers-in-law: Gerald Pouliot of Chase, B.C; Marcel Pouliot of Lampman, SK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
