Lorna Rasmussen

With sadness the family of Lorna Rasmussen announce that she passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021.
Lorna was born March 11, 1937. She was the loving daughter of Mabel (nee McNabb) and Carl Hodgson. She was raised and attended school in Holbein.
In the early 1950’s Lorna met the love of her life Paul Rasmussen. Lorna and Paul were married September 1955. They soon decided to work on their family and they were blessed with 5 children – Ken, Linda, Wayne, Dianne, and Garry. After many years in Prince Albert, they moved to the farm in the Henribourg area in 1972. Lorna was a stay-at-home Mom and helped out on the farm. She loved bowling, gardening, knitting, crocheting, and making quilts for her grandchildren. Lorna also had a love for travelling.
Lorna will be lovingly remembered by her son Ken (Cindy) Rasmussen and their family Bradley (Noreen), Clayton and Sarah; her daughter, Linda Rasmussen and her daughter Samantha; her son Wayne (Audrey) Rasmussen and their family Christopher and Micheal; her daughter Dianne (Daryl) Altenberg and their family Curtis (Cecily), Shawn, and their daughter-in-law Courtney; her son Garry (Kari) Rasmussen and their family Christopher, Anna, Brent, Marc, Sean and Emily; her great-grandchildren, Zan, Leland, Aiden, Abby, Brock, Kylie, Conner, Presley, Ethan, Donna, Samara, Natalie and Nerea; her great-great-grandchildren, Aries and Hanna; her sister Doreen; her brother Graham; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Lorna was predeceased by her loving husband Paul Rasmussen; her parents Mabel and Carl Hodgson; and step-mother, Florence “Flo” Hodgson; her parents-in-law Carl and Betty Rasmussen; her sisters Sylvia and Isla; her brothers, Daryl, Palmer, Vern and Melvin; and her beloved grandson Jason Altenberg.
Lorna will be missed by all that knew her.
A Celebration of Lorna’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Plaza 88, 888 Central Avenue, Prince Albert, SK.
