Lionel Rupert Gareau passed away suddenly at his home in Saskatoon, SK on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the age of 68 years. Lionel leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his sister Marie Paule (Stuart) King; his brothers Laurier (Simone) and Henri (Darlene); his brother-in-law Emil Sawchuk, as well as his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Lionel was predeceased by his parents Pierre and Marie-Ange Gareau, his brother Reginald (Lorraine), his sisters: Lillianne, Laura, Lorraine (David) Agnew, and Adrienne Sawchuk. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Isidore Roman Catholic Church in Bellevue, SK, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00 with Rev. Fr. Janusz Bizewski as celebrant. Interment of the Urn will follow at the St. Isidore Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Lionel may be directed to the St. Isidore Roman Catholic Parish.
