Linda Mae Tarry (Folster)

Linda Mae Tarry was born November 23, 1948 in Kinistino, Saskatchewan. She attended school in Kinistino and later worked as a dispatcher for the Melfort Taxi Company where she met her husband Howard. They were married January 15, 1966 and to this union five children were raised; Michael (Michelle), Christine & Chad; Rhonda (Reg), Jake, Maggie and Keira; Mark (Karol), Ryan, Kyle, & Adam; Annmarie (Greg), Justin; Peter (Darla), Layne, Victor, Payton, Beau, & Obrey. Also surviving Linda are three great grandchildren, Aiden, Alexis and Emma, her mother Edna Wickstrom, sister Bev (Laurie) Meyers, brother Bill Folster, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Linda was predeceased by her father Lawrence Folster, step-father Edwin Wickstrom, grandson Kirby Nickel, and a special granddaughter Sally Head.
Howard and Linda resided at Star City initially then moved to Melfort, then north of Kinistino, and later bought the acreage at Weldon in 1968 where Linda resided until her passing on March 6, 2014. Linda worked in housekeeping at the Birch Hills Hospital and later at Canada Post in Weldon.
She loved to garden, bake, work with puzzles,and play cards and bingo with her friends and family. Linda’s most prized possessions were her family and she had a close relationship with her extended family. Watching her children and grandchildren play at different sporting events was something to be treasured. Linda will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A Private Family service will be held.
