With heavy hearts and deep sadness, Linda’s family announces her passing at her home outside of Meath Park, Saskatchewan, at the young age of 55. Her devoted and loving husband Leo by her side for 37 years remembers her resilient soul and spirit alongside their four children; Cindy Purves (Konrad Kustiak) of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Lenny (Amber) Lavoie of Red Deer, Alberta, Chris Lavoie of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and Kyle Lavoie of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She will be forever missed by her six adoring grandsons; Keaten, Shae, Mason, Cooper, Kinley and Healey. Linda predeceases her beloved sister Brenda (Ross) Svenkeson.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, parents in law, and three siblings. Linda loved gardening and bird watching, and always had the most lush and bountiful garden. Linda lived her life every single day with pure selflessness and her strong heart has made an imprint on so many lives. Her beautiful soul allowed her to touch many lives in a way that she will forever be remembered. Linda made the world a better place – good people into better people, a cloudy day into a sunny day, a tragedy into a comedy, and broken hearts into mended hearts. She will be missed by all those privileged enough to know such an incredible woman.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Gary MacDonald will officiate. It is the family’s request that donations be made to Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, # 1 – 345 – 3 Avenue South, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 1M6
