PEAKE – Lily
1927 – 2022
Lily Peake passed away on June 8th at the age of 94. She was the wife of the late Ernest Peake. They shared 60 years together and raised 5 children. Lily was born at home near Marcelin, Saskatchewan to John and Martha Bold. She was the eldest of three children.
Lily’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the greatest joy of her life. She was an avid reader until she lost her sight. Fishing, traveling in the motorhome, and bingo at Big River were some highlights. She loved flowers and watching birds on the deck. Her home was always a very busy place. Many friends and relatives stopped by for conversation, card games and of course food, she always had a large array of food and goodies. At the care home and at the nursing home she loved painting, crafts, singing, and bingo. The staff was so wonderful, and they helped her through the tough times of no visitors during covid. She really loved soft ice cream right up to the final day, she would say. “That was something you could have any time”. Lily would have many conversations on her cellphone, which helped her through the long days.
It was Lily’s wish to have a private Family Memorial Service.
Lily is survived by her five children: Jim (Beryl) and their children Renee (James)and their daughter Mikayla; Melanie (Chris) and their children Braydon and Maitric; Ryan (Ang) and their children Axle and Gaege; Doug (Sue) and their children Lisa (Ron); Teri (Stan)and their children Stacey, Calli, and Nathan; Sheri (Brian) and their children Chloe and Mia; Bev and her daughter Edna (Bob); Stephen and his son Ananias; Jenny and her children Kaylynne, Kegan, and Kasie; Gail (Rod Verbonec) and their children Jake (Dayna) and their children Madysen, Emma and Hunter; Paul (Janelle) and their children Rider and Kiera; Wendy (David Stupnikoff) and their children Bryce (Cheryl); Stacy and Devon(Natasha) and his son Lennox.
Lily was predeceased by her parents, John & Martha Bold; her grandson-in-law, Lee Hoffman; her son-in-law, Raymond Toth.
