It is with heavy hearts the family of Lewis Duane Jewitt announce his peaceful passing on the morning of May 27, 2025, at the age of 83 years. Duane was born on July 26, 1941, in Shellbrook, SK.

Duane went on to marry the love of his life, Marlene Green on July 8^th, 1967, and together they had three children, Curtis, Lloyd and Chrisann.

Duane was raised on a farm, and they did some farming of their own. Then they moved to Prince Albert, and he went into construction for many years. He finished his career at the Kinsmen Workshop. Duane will sadly be missed by all who knew and loved him and shared in his life’s journey.

Duane is survived by his son Lloyd (Tammy) Jewitt and their children Cody (Ashley) Jewitt and Jared (Ellen) Jewitt; his daughter Chrisann Jewitt; his daughter-in-law Tracy Jewitt and her children Melissa (Charlie) Carrier, Ashley (Tyson) Lund, and Cori (Josh) Forestier; great-grandchildren Morrison, Iris, Alex,  Bella, Brodyn, Brooks, Ember, and Maci; his brother Brian (Joanne) Jewitt and their family; his sister Joyce Nelson and her family; his sister/brothers-in-law Ernie (Jean) Tiegan, Bruce Wilison, Ross Hamilton and families; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Marlene Jewitt; his son Curtis Jewitt; his parents Charlie & Alice Jewitt; his brother Elwood Jewitt; his mother & father-in-law Vern & Audrey Green; his brother-in-law Ray Nelson; his sisters-in-law Verna Wilison and Ena Hamilton; and a nephew Darin Nelson.

There was a Funeral Service held for Duane on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from the Shellbrook Community Hall with Rev. Dave Whalley officiating. Duane was laid to rest in the Shellbrook Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Duane to the Rose Garden Hospice (500 38^th St. W. Prince Albert, SK S6V 0A3).
