It is with heavy hearts that the family of Leslie Helmuth Knaus announce his passing on April 15, 2025, at the age of 55 years at the Parkland Integrated Health Centre Long Term Care.

As a special needs person Leslie’s family enjoyed his smiles and his gibbles. Leslie attended Prince Albert for his schooling where he graduated in 1992. Leslie attended the Kinsmen Workshop where he enjoyed himself immensely interacting with others.

He was our special boy that we looked after for over 50 years. Leslie enjoyed tea parties at Mr. Gills, how they spoiled him. Leslie enjoyed going for car rides, especially to the cabin and getting pushed around on the cabin deck.

The family want to thank the staff at Parkland Integrated Health Centre for the care they have given Leslie in the last few years. They also want to thank the Hospital staff for their care the last few days of Leslie’s life.

Just rest my boy, you are loved and will be missed by your family.

Leslie Helmuth Knaus is lovingly survived by his parents, Helmuth & Loretta Knaus; his sister, Christine Hrudka (Gordon) and their family; his brother, Calvin (Glenda) Knaus and their family; and numerous other relatives.

At the family’s request, there will be no services held.
