In loving memory of Leon James Mackie, 63, of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Born May 21st, 1953 in Prince Albert to Clara and Vernon Mackie. Leon worked hard and loved driving truck for Ruszkowski Trucking for many years. In his spare time he liked to shoot pool and hang out at the Army and Navy with his many friends. Leon is lovingly remembered by his mother Clara Mackie, his brother Joe Belhumeur (Mona), Terry “Chico” Mackie, and sister Delores Mackie (Rick); his daughters Melissa Hurl (Justin) and their children; Tammy McKimmon (Chris) and his sons Sheldon Mitchell (Shelly) and their children; Ronny (Connie) McKimmon and their children; his grandchildren Wayne McKimmon (Kourtney); Jake McKimmon (Tiffany); Rhonda Anderson(Brandon); Jordan McKimmon (Amanda); Tyler McKimmon (Marie); Brandon McKimmon; his great-grandchildren Dylan McKimmon & Chase McKimmon; his nephews Lorne Mackie (Ashley) and Glenn Mackie (Sam) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. .Leon was predeceased by his father Vernon Mackie; his wife Brenda Mackie; his Auntie Fran Mackie and his cousin and best friend Robert “Bud” Mackie. Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Army & Navy Club, 25 – 11 Street West, Prince Albert, SK. with George Guillet as speaker. Those wishing to place memorial contributions in lieu of other tributes may do so to the Kidney Foundation.
