July 21, 1940 ~ April 21, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Leon Watrin announce his passing on April 21, 2020 in Prince Albert, SK. A full obituary will be posted once available.
Leon was born in the Victoire vicinity to Fernand and Irene(nee Beaulieu). He was the oldest of nine children. He was raised and attended school in Victoire. He then went on to work with our father with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool as a carpenter. He then continued his career as a carpenter when he moved to Creighton and then returning to Prince Albert when he retired but still doing odd jobs for others and family. He enjoyed camping and fishing while living in Creighton.
He is survived by his sister Huguette Cormier and her children Dan and Michelle; sister Marie Bleskan and her children Cathy (Shaun) and Mark (Jessica); sister Beatrice (Don) Radcliffe and their children Dwayne, Darren and Leanne (Curtis); brother Andre(Andy) and his children Candace and Shane; sister-in-law Wendy Watrin and her children Angele (Chris) and Clinton; John’s children Kristi-Ann(Doug), Sean(Wendy) and Bobbie-Lee(James); Therese’s children Jeffery and Brendan; as well as numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews and one Aunt.
He was predeceased by an infant brother, Albert; parents Fernand and Irene; brothers Gerard(Jerry), Jean(John) and youngest sister Therese; brothers-in-law Ted Cormier and Gerry Bleskan.
Thank you to the physicians and staff at the Victoria Hospital for the care they provided while he was in the hospital.
A private family burial with be held at a later date at the Victoire Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
