Leon Gagnon was born on September 16, 1959, and passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in the comfort of his own home.
Leon was born to Joyce (Rudyck) Palmer and Arsene Gagnon. He grew up in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan and resided in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for the majority of his life. He often travelled across Canada for work and enjoyed experiencing new places.
Leon found a passion for creative, artistic and meticulous projects at a young age. He exhibited this passion over the course of his life through both personal and professional ventures which included woodworking, painting, sandblasting and diamond drilling, among others. Leon loved to fish and was an avid sports fan.
Leon was loved by many. He was honest, loyal and easy to talk to. Leon was extremely enthusiastic about Harley-Davidson motorcycles, antique motor vehicles and collectibles. He loved attending and participating in motor shows and was recognized multiple times for his unique custom-built motorcycles.
Leon is survived by his: mother Joyce Palmer, siblings Cecile (Ray) Aalbers, Allain (Adeline) Gagnon, Doris Sayers, Dale Gagnon, Jeannette (Jim) Vogel, sister-in-law Paulette Gagnon, many nieces and nephews, including his special niece Charlene Gagnon, and many friends.
Leon was predeceased by his father Arsene Gagnon, brother Denis Gagnon, brother-in-law Mervin Sayers and infant brother.
The family wishes to thank Leon’s special niece Charlene Gagnon and best friend Jimmy Oleksyn for their selfless care and support of Leon.
As per Leon’s wishes, no service will be held. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK.
