Leo passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Victoria Hospital. He was born on October 8, 1941 in the Duck Lake district. Early in life Leo became a trucker, eventually owner of his own business, a trucking firm for nearly 30 years. He eventually acquired his acreage and became semi-retired. Leo was a board member of the St. Laurent Shrine doing volunteer work there. During his retirement he served for Commissionaires, Sask. Abilities Bus Driver and Cecil Ferry Operator. Leo enjoyed time spent with family and friends and also enjoyed his horses. A number of years ago he coordinated the dances at Parkland Hall. Leo is survived by his loving wife Janice; his daughter Michelle Epp; four grandchildren Greg, Chris (Sarah), Amy and Sarah; one great granddaughter Aryia; his brother Frank (Joan) Nicolas; his sisters Darlene (Syl) Gayowski and Sandra (Allan) Briere; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Lea and George Nicolas. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Mr. Dennis Bleier officiating. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine Inc. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
