Lennart Eddie Sjodin, age 87, passed away surrounded by family on December 28th, 2015 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He built a great life for his family, in business, sports, community involvement, and the active life at the family cottage. Over the years he was an active member of Minor Hockey, Minor Softball, President and Lifetime member of Midtown Community Club, President of the Prince Albert Wildlife Federation and Lifetime member, PAGCC Senior Men’s Curling Club, and a member of DNR Old Timers all while running his business, Central Transport, and raising his six children. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mabel Sjodin (nee: Kenney); his sons Arny (Judy), Ron (Theresa); his daughters Donna Gordon (Darrell), Wendy Heroux (David), Brenda Nelson (Michael), Shirley Hainey (Bill); his grandchildren Arlen Sjodin (Julie Fallis), Aaron Sjodin (Carey), Ariel Sjodin, Aarik Sjodin, Curtis Sjodin (Lisa), Riley Sjodin (Kim Koch), Jasmin Sjodin, Lexis Gordon, Clay Gordon, Nathan Heroux (Jennifer), Joel Heroux (Laura Bedecs), Eric Nelson, Hudson Sjodin (Crystal Berube), Quinn Hainey, Connor Hainey and Kaegan Hainey; his great grandchildren Asher Sjodin, Abel Sjodin, Winston Sjodin and Remy Heroux; his sisters and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas, Director Spiritual Care, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to The Respiratory Therapy Program at The Co-operative Health Centre Volunteers Foundation, 110 – 8th Street East Prince Albert, SK S6V 0V7.
