Lena Heringer
1929 ~ 2025

Lena Heringer was born on November 26, 1929, in Samburg District, SK, and passed away on April 13, 2025, in Saskatoon, at the age of 95 years.

Lena was born on the farm in the Samburg District in Saskatchewan. She was the second oldest of five children.

In her early 20’s she moved to Calgary and while working there she met her husband to be, Vern. They eventually moved to Prince Albert and raised a daughter together. Lena and Vern were married for 72 years until Vern’s passing in 2023.

Lena is survived by her daughter, Doreen (Bill) Johnson of Saskatoon; her granddaughters, Sarah (Riki) Hayashi of Monrovia, California, and Jenna (Melissa Van Delen) Ellis of Mississauga, Ontario; her sister, Ann (Lorne) Grant of Saskatoon; her sister-in-law, Diana Schneider of Edmonton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lena was predeceased by her husband, Vern; her parents, Sophie and John Repula; her brother, Bill Repula; her sisters, Mary Swales and Elsie Rebryna.

At Lena’s request there will be no funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
