June 13, 1951 – December 10, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Charles Mardell on December 10, 2024 in Saskatoon, SK.

Lawrence met his wife, Carol Bethke. They married in 1979 and had two children, Alicia and Jarett. Lawrence loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, golfing and curling.

He was predeceased by his wife, Carol; his parents, Mary and Stanley; brother, Edward; sister, Betty Buchko; mother-in-law, Ruth Bethke. He leaves to mourn his daughter, Alicia; son, Jarett; brother, Clifford (Ethel) Mardell; sister, Beverley Inglehart; his twin brother, Lloyd (Louise) Mardell; brother-in-law, Zenon Butchko; sister-in-law, Diana Bethke (Don); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Lawrence was born on June 13, 1951 to Stanley and Mary Mardell. He grew up on the family farm in Snowden, Saskatchewan. Lawrence attended school in Smeaton and Choiceland, Saskatchewan. Lawrence stayed and worked on the family farm until his father’s passing in 1975. He then moved to Prince Albert and worked for Provincial Corrections for 25 years. He was forced to take an early retirement due to illness.
