Laurine Como

On Sunday, August 11, 2024, Laurine (Lorraine) Elizabeth Eliette (Boyer) Como, loving mother of three, passed away at the age of 84 years.
Laurine was born on September 11, 1939, in St.Louis area to Sam and Ursule Boyer. She was raised in Duck Lake and met her husband Omer Como and lived on the Century Family farm in the LaPlaine area for almost 65 years and raised their three children Brian, Brenda, and Brant.
Laurine had many memories of working as a phone operator in Duck Lake, a professional cook at St. Michaels Residential School in Duck Lake for 25 plus years, and farming life with Omer.
Laurine had a passion for country music, especially Charley Pride, enjoyed travelling, searching for her collection of salt & pepper shakers, and spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.
She always had a story to tell.

Bonnie (Brandon) Hrycuik and Jacob and Nicholas
Son: Brant (Bev) Como
Sisters: Marina Lemauviel, Estelle Fisher, Cecile DeBray
Brother: Father Andre Boyer OMI
Sisters-in-law: Armande Fauchoux, Aline Grimard, Yvette Boyer
And numerous nieces and nephews
Laurine was predeceased by her husband Omer Como, parents, brothers Victor, Charlie, Oliver; Sisters Denise Mauvieux, Lucille Lanovaz; parents-in-law Pete & Clara Como; brothers-in-law Victor Fauchoux, Louis Mauvieux, Gaston Grimard, Louis deMontarnel, Eugene Mauvieux, Louis Lanovaz, Eugene Lemauviel, Gerald Fisher, Edwyn DeBray; and sisters-in-law Rolande Como, Marie Ange Mauvieux, Lucie deMontarnel, Julia Boyer, and Lorraine Boyer.
A celebration of Laurine’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK.
