Laurie Lee McKay

McKay, Laurie Lee (nee Ethier) (Holz) passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 in Prince Albert at the Victoria Hospital following a courageous battle against cancer. Laurie will be remembered for her love of her children and family, her passion for golf and the joy she found in spending time at the lake. She leaves behind to celebrate her life and to keep her alive in their hearts and minds, her husband Jim McKay; son Justin Holz (Katie Deobald); granddaughter Ella Rae; grandson Jake David Conrad; daughter Trista Holz; mother Darla Ethier; Conrad Holz, father of her children; brothers Rory (Brenda) Ethier, Randy Ethier and Ross Ethier; niece Ashley Ethier; nephew Tyson Ethier and aunt Grace (Mike) Parker; as well as numerous extended family. Laurie was predeceased by her father Ray Ethier; grandparents Anne and Bill Ethier and uncle Richard Ethier. Laurie's family would like to extend a special thank you to her cousins Tracy Parker and Bev Biggs for the time that they spent with her at the lake as well as her friends Leigh Kalinowski, Jean Horne, Pat Cracknell, Diane Wilson, Colleen Brown, Maureen Currie, Joan Schrader and Anne Adams Holz who have visited with her over the last several months and have been a great help and support to the family. The family would also like to thank Carnegie Medical Services and the Nurses to go, the Victoria Hospital Volunteers, the staff at Victoria Hospital for their excellent care, Sister Evelyn and Louis Poulin. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 – 4th Avenue West, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrants Reverend Father Matthew Nguyen and Reverend Father Travis Myrheim. In lieu of other tributes, the family respectfully request donations be made to a Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
