April 21, 1962 – June 28, 2016

Laurel Alma Cathcart (Tilden), 53, of Rural Prince Albert passed away Tuesday morning at 3:10 a.m. at Victoria Hospital with her husband Doug at her side after a 5 year battle with cancer.  Laurel was born in Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert and resided in the area in all her life.  She married Douglas Cathcart on November 30, 2002 and was blessed with two wonderful sons Mathew and Logan.  They were the joy of her life and she spoke of them with so much love and pride.  She was very knowledgeable about her job at Zoe Health Center and was cherished by all clients who passed through the door.  Laurel enjoyed living a simple life and was always so gracious with even the smallest gifts she would receive.  Laurel loved to chat and could entertain you with stories for hours on end.  We will all so miss the wonderful peals of her ‘Peg Bundy’ laughter.  Laurel is survived by her husband Doug; her sons Mathew and Logan; her step dad Leslie Tilden Sr.; her brother Jim (Faye) Sabo and their children Samara Stevens and Jada Sabo, her brother Robert Tilden, her sister Kimberly (Dave) Wishnowski and their children Leslie Tilden and Angel Wishnowski, and her brother Ron Tilden; as well as numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents Marlene Dodwell and Robert Tilden Sr.; and her brother Eugene Sabo.  At Laurel’s request no funeral will be held.  An intimate gathering will be held in honour of her life by her family and friends.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel (306-922-4729).
