It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kim Stewart announce her passing on Thursday, February 11th, 2021 in Camrose, Alberta.
Kim is lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly forty years Sheldon; children Lorraine, Kathryn, Jason (bonus daughter Robyn); grandchildren Victoria, Analise, Sabrina and Julia; parents Jim and Doris White; sister Teresa (Neale) Lensen; sister Anita (Kurt) Smith; mother-in-law Val Lumb; brother-in-law Gord (Lorene) Stewart; brother-in-law Terry (Vicki) Stewart; special aunt Marge Chrustz; special aunt Christine Johnstone; and numerous special nieces and nephews.
Kim was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Myrl and Dorothy Johnson; her paternal grandparents Ted and Christine White; and her father-in-law Gord Stewart.
Kimberly Ann was born on October 29th, 1961 in Nipawin, Sk., being the proud first-born daughter to her loving parents. Kim attended all of her schooling in Prince Albert, Sk. Kim met her loving husband Sheldon in their early teenage years. Kim and Sheldon moved to Calgary, AB where they welcomed their first-born daughter Lorraine in 1981. Kim and Sheldon moved back to Prince Albert, Sk. to be closer to family and for work. Kim and Sheldon welcomed their second daughter Kathryn in 1984, followed by their son Jason in 1986. Kim enjoyed her time working at 7-11 in Prince Albert, Sk. where she won a trip to Jamaica for her and Sheldon. Sheldon received a job opportunity that took the family back to Alberta. They made a home for the family in the Killam and Forestburg area of Alberta. Kim enjoyed working for Forestburg Meats, the meat packing plant, up until medical issues forced her to step away from the job she enjoyed so much in April, 2020. Kim will be remembered for being the beautiful, loving, fun, encouraging, hard-core Saskatchewan Roughrider fan, avid camper and devoted wife to Sheldon. Kim was an amazing, active and caring mom to her three children and bonus daughter. Kim was the best craft making, spoiling grandma ever to her four granddaughters. Kim was a mischievous fun-loving auntie who helped her nieces and nephews get into as much fun trouble as they could. Kim was the best older sister and was one you could always count on. Kim was the most supportive, understanding and loving daughter to her parents. Kim will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 at 2pm at the East End Hall, 205 10th Avenue East, Prince Albert, Sk. In remembrance of Kim’s love for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, please join the family in wearing Saskatchewan Roughrider memorabilia or anything green. In lieu of other tributes, those wishing to make a memorial donation can do so to your charity of choice.
