October 27, 1965 ~ February 19, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Kevin Latzkowski announce his passing on February 19, 2020 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 54 years.
Kevin was born on October 27, 1965 in Prince Albert, SK. Kevin attended Spruce Home School and Carlton Comprehensive High School. He later went on to obtain his class 1A driver’s license. Along with truck driving, Kevin was also a skilled backhoe and heavy equipment operator.
After the passing of their father Leo and brother Victor, Kevin and brother Keith continued with the farming operation of raising cattle. Kevin’s love for the farm stayed with him throughout his life. A border collie was always by his side.
To supplement his income Kevin was presently employed with the RM of Buckland through the summer months and hauled logs in the winter.
In his younger years he played hockey and softball. Snowmobiling with his friends was a favorite time in his life. In the last few years, he enjoyed playing pickleball when he could. He was recently on a trip to Palm Springs, California and Disneyland with Bonny visiting friends.
Kevin loved life to the fullest. He had a big heart and was always willing to help neighbors and friends. And many friends he had!
Kevin is lovingly remembered by his: partner Bonny Link; son Dustin McDougall; sister Beryl (Larry) Eros; brother Keith Latzkowski; brother-in-law David Krip; nieces Sheri (Daren) Mudrik, Shannon (Greg) Trueman, Megan (Tanner) Marcer; nephews Darryl Krip, Kyle (Tammy) Eros, Thomas Latzkowski; sister-in-law Gwen Banks; Bonny’s children: Melanie (Jordan) and their daughter Sabrina, Ché (Diana); Bonny’s Mom, May; as well as his dog Miss Dee.
Kevin is predeceased by his: parents Leo and Delia (Cartier) Latzkowski; brothers Richard and Victor; sister Marjorie Krip; nephew Glenn Krip.
Donations in memory of Kevin can be made to the White Star Cemetery, White Star, SK S0J 0N0 or Victoria Hospital Foundation, 1200 24 Street West Prince Albert, SK S6V 5T4.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Spruce Home Activity Center, Spruce Home, SK. Private family interment will be held at the White Star Cemetery, White Star, SK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
