He worked for the CIBC in Banff and at various locations in Saskatchewan including Saskatoon, St. Walburg, Regina, Kincaid, Lashburn and Redvers before retiring from the Melfort branch in October 1997. Over his lifetime he was involved with Kinsmen, Elks, Lions Club and Legion and served on the Board of Directors of the Melfort Golf Club for a number of years. He and Eleanor spent several enjoyable winters in Osoyoos where he curled as well as golfed.
