With broken hearts the family of Kelly Anthony Denysuik announce his passing on Oct 14th, 2025 at Dulcina Hospice in Calgary AB at the young age of 57.
Kelly was born to Tony and Lynne Denysuik on July 31, 1968 and was the second oldest of four children.
He was predeceased by his father Tony and leaves to mourn his passing; his Mom Lynne Denysuik; Brother Duane Denysuik; Brother Darren Denysuik (Kelly, Niece Jacey, and Goddaughter Darly); Trina Denysuik(Jeff, Nephews Evan and Ryan and Niece Kayla); his beloved canine companion Sullivan (Sully) as well as numerous family and friends.
Kelly loved hockey and the Boston Bruins. He played throughout his life and made many friends on the ice. He was not the best goal scorer around but was a team player who liked to think he played like Bobby Orr of the Bruins.
He was an avid NY Yankees fan and a very proud Saskatchewan Roughriders fan who would bet on almost any game no matter how slim the chances of winning were.
After high school Kelly went on to gain his Interprovincial Journeyman Carpenter Designation and moved to Calgary AB to pursue his career. He went on to become an insurance adjuster and at the time of his passing he was a Senior National Property Specialist in AB, SK and BC.
Throughout his short life Kelly made friends wherever he went and was genuinely interested in other people’s lives. Whether it was school, hockey, work or travel he always made a friend or two, and had stories to share.
Kelly was diagnosed with Melanoma Cancer in early 2020. He endured multiple surgeries, immunotherapy, radiation and finally chemo.
Kelly’s siblings were there every step of the way caring for his needs in his last few weeks of his life. We made sure he had everything he needed and wanted. He was never alone.
Kelly will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. He was one of a kind.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Dulcina Hospice in Calgary for going above and beyond for Kelly, and keeping him comfortable and pain free. We all received the best care and compassion during our stay.
A celebration of life to be determined at a later date.
