Kayla Angel Maggie Elizabeth Charles was born on Sunday, October 2, 2011 in La Ronge, SK and passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in La Ronge, SK at the age of 5 years, 5 months and 20 days. Kayla is survived by her loving family, her mother, Marjorie Durocher; her adopted mother, Selina Ross; her adopted father, Kitchener Ross; her father, Kevin Charles; her sisters, Kevie and Kaylynn Durocher; her brothers, Blake and Kenneth Charles; her grandparents, Nancy & Bruce Cook, Camon & Nora Roberts and Ernest & Deborah Durocher; her great-grandmother, Mary Ann Durocher; her cousins, Blade Roberts, Jared Durocher, Pierce Halkett, Angel Halkett, David Charles and Alyssa Charles; her aunts and uncles, Hank Charles, Ernie Durocher, Ernest Durocher Jr., Rochelle Durocher, Josie Ross, Emma Durocher, Enya Durocher, Adrian Charles, Morgan Cook, Tamara Roberts and Harris Cook; her godparents, Vicky Charles, Colleen McKenzie and George Roberts; and her special caregivers, Pam Stydnyk and Sheldon Merriman. She was predeceased by her sister, Michelle Elizabeth Durocher; her cousin, Austin Roberts; her aunt, Angel Roberts; and her great-grandparents, Cornelius & Elizabeth Charles, Stan Durocher and Isiah & Maggie Charles. A wake service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Charlie Halkett Memorial Hall in Hall Lake, SK, Bishop Adam Halkett officiating, and continuing at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Nihithow Awasis School Gym in Grandmother’s Bay, SK. Kayla’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017 at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Grandmother’s Bay, SK, Reverend Richard Custer officiating. Interment to follow at Grandmother’s Bay Cemetery.
