Katherine (Kay) Apps (nee Camche), 89, died 7th October 2016 in hospital in Kamloops, British Columbia. She had resided in Berwick Retirement Community in Kamloops for two years after living in Prince Albert Saskatchewan for the majority of her life.
Kay was born 1927 in Edessa Greece and immigrated to Canada with her family as a small child. She grew up on a farm in Buckland and moved to Prince Albert as a young adult. She attended Normal School and was a teacher for a short time before becoming a wife and mother. She subsequently worked in several businesses in the community and ended her working career in the Prince Albert Land Titles office. She was an avid bridge player, curler, golfer, traveller and an active member in the Hard of Hearing Society of Prince Albert.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Bill (Connie) Apps, Carol (John) Renner, and Linda Apps along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived as well by her brothers Nick Camche and Bill Camche and their wives, and many other loving family members and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Harry Apps.
An announcement will be made at a later date for A Celebration of Life ceremony that will be held in Prince Albert in the spring of 2017.
