KAILA EMILY JADE BERG. Kaila Emily Jade Berg, beloved 18 year-old daughter of Joanne and Mark Berg of Shellbrook, SK passed away on Monday November 29, 2010, after a 15 month courageous battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma Disease, with her mother by her side in Edmonton, AB. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3 from River Park Memorial Chapel. John Slemming will officiate. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4 from Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 – 4 Avenue West by Father Maurice Fiolleau. Kaila will be lovinly remembered and sadly missed by: her parents Joanne (nee Clark) and Mark; her sister Leigha; her brother Cameron; loved by Matthew Yungwirth; her grandparents Allan and Flora Berg, Lee and Marlene Clark and Mary Morin; her special friends Charnelle Nahorniak, Carly Kennedy and Kendyl Siegel; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her uncle Ron Mirasty and her great-grandparents. Kaila was born on September 20, 1992 in Saskatoon, SK and graduated from Carlton Comprehensive High School in June of 2010 and received the Debbie Dunke award. Kaila enjoyed dancing, ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, open and solo. She especially enjoyed watching the Saskatchewan Roughriders and had the time of her life being in the 2009 and 2010 Grey Cup Parades in Calgary and Edmonton, attending the Grey Cup Games with her father, her mother, her friend Charnelle and friends of the Chris Knox Foundation. The family would like to thank everyone who made Kaila's days brighter during her illness and for all the care given to us during this difficult time. It is the family's request that donations may be made to Chris Knox Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Bald Little Angels or Southern Alberta Ronald McDonald House in Calgary, AB in Kaila's memory. Interment of cremated remains will take place in Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca.
