JOYCE PELLEGRINI (Nee CROCKETT)
August 2, 1932 – December 1, 2016
It is with profound sadness and also with the most wonderful memories that we announce the passing of our amazing mom, loving wife and wonderful grandma Joyce Pellegrini. Joyce was born in Winnipeg, MB on August 2, 1932, sharing the day with her twin sister Joan. Joyce was a secretary at Walter Woods Wholesale Hardware and later at Famous Players Theaters in Winnipeg. It was there she met and later married her loving husband of 60 years Albert Pellegrini. The newly married couple moved to Montreal where their two daughters Joan and Nancy were born. In 1962 they moved their young family to Prince Albert and settled on an acreage where their two sons Dean and Randy were born. Mom and Dad resided on their beautiful acreage where they raised their family, spending summers at Emma Lake and later years in Waskesui. Mom loved ‘the farm’…it was the site of many wonderful memories and family gatherings, a place she did not want to leave. She was a loving and kind mother, wife and grandmother who was always there for us with her quiet support and unconditional love. As we got older Mom had time to get involved in her community. She belonged to the Kinettes in Prince Albert, was president and secretary for the Cooke Ladies Golf Club and secretary for the provincial branch of the Canadian Ladies Golf Association. She was Regent and longtime member of IODE and member of the ladies Waskesui Golf Club. Mom and Dad travelled extensively over the years and saw many parts of the world. A highlight was visiting Italy and meeting Dad’s extended family. In later years they enjoyed their winter holidays in San Diego and Palm Springs where they gathered with friends and opened their house to family. We are blessed that our Mother lived a full life filled with love and family. Joyce was predeceased by both her father and mother Albert and Mary Ellen (Morley) Crockett, two sisters Dorothy MacKenzie and May Sparrow and two brothers Harry and Ernie Crockett. Joyce is survived by her husband of 60 years Albert (Ab) Pellegrini, her children. Daughter Joan (Wayne) Janzen and family (Luke Robinson, Dylan Robinson, Meghan Robinson and Leslie (Shawn) Averie, Aydin Stevenson; Randi (Ryan) Yuzdepski, Robert Janzen); daughter Nancy Pellegrini and family ( Alexandra & son Pierre, Jessica, Kaitlin Beck & Jonathon Pellegrini); son Dean (Wendy) Pellegrini and family Tyler(Crystal) & daughter Meadow, Jas & Raina Pellegrini); son Randy (Debra) Pellegrini and family (Azzaria, Breana & Talia Pellegrini); As well as her twin sister Joan (Doug) and family Tracy (Donna) Erin & Lochlin Winterton and also many other family members, nieces and nephews and friends that will remember her fondly. Mom, we will never forget your lessons of kindness, unconditional love and forgiveness, you will always be in our hearts. We will love and miss you forever.
