In Loving Memory
Joyce Leona Guigon

Mom was born on May 21, 1937 and passed away on June 12, 2026 peacefully in her sleep. Mom was raised and lived in Hoey and surrounding area. She was a devoted wife and mother with strong faith and family values. Mom thoroughly enjoyed lengthy visits with family and friends, she also found great pleasure in cooking, baking and filling all our bellies. She loved gardening, preserving, wild flowers, animals and nature, but absolute top of the list was family and spirituality. Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving were some of her favorite holidays. Despite all of the baking, decorating, and gifting that came with these events, she loved every minute of it. This in turn has made some of our fondest memories of her. Somehow she always made it magical. Although life isn’t always a holiday, there certainly were many trying times as there is in life. During these times, mom was the “rock”, a fierce advocate for family. This will be your legacy that will live on with us. Joyce leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her loving husband of 71 years Emile, her children; Wayne (Linda) Guigon, Marty Guigon and Elaine (Leo) Boutin; her 16 grandchildren and 23 great- grandchildren; her sisters Shirley (Louis) Fauchoux and Dorothy Galloway; as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Marcel & Marjorie (Williams) Begrand, her brother-in-law Mac Galloway, as well as numerous other family members. The family would like to thank the Cozy Nest Care Home and Trinity Manor for all their care for mom on her Journey. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 10:30 am in St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, Wakaw, SK with Rev. Fr. Janusz Bizewski as Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Joyce may be directed to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Marc Blondeau, Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK 306-233-4403.
