Joyce was predeceased by her parents Adrian and Cecelia Arcand, parents-in-law Amie and Daisy Fiddler, brother-in-law Brian Fiddler, granddaughter Shae-lynn Fiddler, sister Loretta and infant son.
Joyce will be remembered as the loving, caring, fun person she was. She touched so many hearts. Family was always first and children cherished. She enjoyed the simple things in life, spending alone time with her husband, family gatherings, barbeques, camping, watching the little ones play and grow, and gardening. She loved being surrounded by flowers and feeding the birds, and coffee in the early morning sunshine.
A brave and strong woman through her struggle with cancer, she never gave up or never gave in, always kept a smile with her family by her side. Always thankful for all who helped her through it, never stopped worrying about her husband who will be left behind to fight his battles. She was the family rock and taught us all compassion, strength and perseverance. May we all learn from this and pass this on to our children. Mom enjoyed following her kids and grandkids with their sports and activities, and was a very good fastball pitcher back in her day. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, and being around her family. Some of Mom’s other pastimes were crocheting and knitting afghans for her family and friends. Mom and Dad were married for 54 years and have lived in Prince Albert with their family for the last 42 years.
The family would like to invite you to a Celebration of Life in honour of Joyce at her peaceful place called home, as it will be more comfortable for her loving spouse Rudy, on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm. Please bring a lawn chair and perhaps your favourite dish, and share your memories with us. A private interment will take place per Joyce and Rudy’s wishes.
