Josephine Rose Williams

With her loving family by her side Josephine Williams passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 6, 1971 to Edwin and Viola (nee: Knife) Williams.
The wake service for Josephine started at 12:00 PM on Monday, September 16, 2019 at the Ahtahkakoop First Nation Band Hall. Her funeral service commenced at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the same location with Alex Sasakamoose officiating. She was laid to rest in St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery following the service. Honorary pallbearers were Christine Masuskapoe, Elaine Shingoose, Rhonda Thomas, Joanne Cardinal and all those friends who shared her life. Active pallbearers were Lester Williams, Warren Knife, Tony Williams, Lewis Ahenakew, Dale Ahenakew and Terry Knife.
Josephine leaves to mourn: her daughter, Savannah Williams; her sons, Gerrid Williams, Aiden Williams and Darian (Abby) Williams; her grandson, Reid Weekusk; her siblings, Darren (Dinah) Williams, Corlene Chekosis, Ruby (John) Hyman, Francis Williams, Patricia Williams, Priscilla Williams and Ryan Williams; her loving furry companions, Buzz and Woody as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by: her parents, Edwin and Viola Williams; her paternal grandparents, Jacob and Gladys Williams; her maternal grandparents, Albert and Rose Knife.
