JOSEPH “Joe” MICHALYCIA
Joe of Christopher Lake was born on January, 11th, 1936 in Crystal Springs, SK and went to be with the Lord on June 27th, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Olga (nee Dueck); son, Allan (Nancy) (nee Van Seters) grandson, Christopher and granddaughter, Michelle (Michael Pichula); his daughter, Kim (Milton) Myers and his granddaughter, Richelle (Darcy) Bartley and his great grandchildren, Brooke and Riley; grandson, Micheal and great grandson, Owen; sisters, Anne Kucheran, Jenny Leask, Alice Risula, Shirley Golumbus and Dianna Michalycia; brothers, Walter (Darlene), Mike (Ann); sisters-in-law, Linda Fast (Eldred), Sarah (Leonard) Juell, John (Ev) Dueck, Sterling (Pat) Dueck, Glen (Pauline) Dueck and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Dora (Halabura) Michalycia; sisters, Mary Bullin, Sophia Woytowich and Olga Korpan; brother, Stanley; father and mother-in-law, Jacob and Eva (Heinrichs) Dueck; brother-in-law, Paul Dueck and several nephews. A Celebration of Joe's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3rd at St. Christopher's Anglican Church in Christopher Lake, SK with Pastor Pat Martin presiding. Lunch and fellowship to follow at the Christopher Lake Legion Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Assoc. (104-2301 Ave C. North Saskatoon, SK S7L 5Z5).
