Joseph “Joey” Hubert Merasty was born on March 3, 1958, in Sandy Bay, SK, and passed away on October 18, 2022, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 64 years.

Joseph is survived by his loving family, his loving wife, Sarah G. Merasty; his daughters, Nicole (Shaun), Amy, Laura (James “J.R.”),  Nedanis, Angel (Sebastijan); his sons, Joseph (Faith), Jerry; his sisters, Marlene Merasty, Wilma Merasty, Beatrice Linklater, Phyllis Merasty; his brothers, Brian Merasty, David Merasty, Angus Merasty; his aunts, Anne Merasty, Jane Merasty; his grandchildren, Dominic, Shanelle, Brandon, Trey, Nina, Bridget, Steven, Ashton, Paxton, Josie, Josiah, Rose-Zena, Joiee, Kenley, Sabina Sarah, Jerrin, Zerrick, Jeralyn; his great-grandchildren, Henry, Araya; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Jessica Joy Merasty; his grandchildren, Shaun John McKay, Baby Sewap, Baby Ballantyne; his parents, David Merasty, Maryanne Merasty; his grandparents, John Merasty, Marie Merasty, Josette Morin, Johnny Morin, Angus Bear; his siblings, Ricky Merasty, Gertrude Merasty; his sister-in-law, Sophie Merasty; his nephew, David Merasty; his friends, Jack Dominic Custer, Angela Eninew, John John & Lorraine, J.B., Steven B.

The Prayer Service for Joseph will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. The Wake Services will be held the evening of Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the home of Joseph Merasty, in Prince Albert, SK; continued Monday, October 24, 2022 at Parkland Hall, 1511 9th Ave West, in Prince Albert, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at New Life Alliance Gospel Church, 1779 15th Street West, in Prince Albert, SK.
