BASKO – Jorris “Yoroslaw” Basko beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully on August 22, 2013. Jorris lived on the family farm near Smuts, SK. where his loves in life were family and farming. He is survived by his loving children, Bruce, Jeff (Tami), Dale (Candice), Brent (April) and Dana; his adoring grandchildren Jaeden, Tanner, Marlee, Cooper and Quinn; his sister, Nat (Alec) Hovrilenko. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 33 years Marlene (nee Pritz); his daughter, Lynn Marie; parents, Harry and Ksenia Basko; and siblings, Rose Stagg, Alec Wuhlar and Mike Wuhlar. He will be remembered as someone who enjoyed the company of family and friends and as someone who was always ready to share a story, a joke and some cheer. Cremation has taken place and Jorris will be laid to rest at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Alvena at a later date. There will be a Memorial Service held in the chapel of Saskatoon Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
