1964-2026
Jonathan Hugh Mundell was born September 25, 1964, the second eldest of four children to Ray and Mary Mundell, in High River, Alberta. The Lord took him home in the presence of his Wife, children, grandchildren and a few friends, at RUH hospital in Saskatoon on April 19, 2026. Jonathan was a man full of Love and laughter, and he couldn’t help but share these with those around him. Jonathan grew up on the family farm near Spruce View Alberta where he learned a love for the land from his dad. Jonathan learned many skills in life, farming with his dad as well as working on neighbor’s farm, getting his class 1 license to drive semi truck, working construction jobs, learning mechanics to fix vehicles and farm equipment. Jonathan and his wife Dawn moved to their farm SE of Spiritwood SK in 1998. They had cows, made hay and did custom work including fencing. Jonathan lived the rest of his life on this Saskatchewan farm, and he raised 4 children there. Jonathan will be remembered with love by his family and dearly missed.
Jonathan is lovingly remembered by his wife: Dawn Mundell, his children: Jesse (Cassidy) Mundell, Logan (Natalie) Mundell, Abigail (Mick) Merasty-Sutton, Ethan Mundell, Calley Lamontagne (April), Haddlie Hepworth, Finnley Hepworth, his grandchildren: Anthony, Brooklynn, Adam, Jack, Everleigh, Isabella, and Scarlett, his mother: Mary Mundell, siblings: Rosemary (Rollie) Cantin, Jessica (Peter) Fullerton, Robin (Shauna) Mundell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Jonathan was laid to rest at 11:00 am on Tuesday April 28, 2026, at the Mildred North Cemetery. His celebration of life service was held the same day, 1:00 pm, at Lakeland Community Church in Spiritwood SK, with a lunch following the service at the Pioneer center in Spiritwood. Pastor Micheal Kluthe officiated the Internment and Pastor Bill Klumpenhower officiated the celebration of life service.
