It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jonas Benjamin McKenzie, late of Sturgeon Lake, SK on November 10^th, 2023, in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 74 years. Jonas was born in LaRonge, SK on April 15^th, 1949, to Mary Johnson and Benjamin McKenzie. Jonas will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Joyce Johnson, Tina Johnson, & Dennis Johnson; his nieces and nephews Mary (Cory), Mildred, James, Jason, Virginia, John, Lloyd, Amy, Racheal, Jacob, Alfred, Dennis, Dana, Jonas, Jason, Kerry, Cura, Tracy, & Lee; as well as numerous family and friends. Jonas was predeceased by his son Bruce Henderson; his mother: Mary (Lloyd) Johnson; his father Benjamin McKenzie; & his sister Johanna McKenzie Naytowhow. A Wake Service will be held on Monday, November 13^th, 2023, at 5 PM at the Sturgeon Lake Community Center, Sturgeon Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 15^th, 2023, at 2 PM at Sturgeon Lake Community Center in Sturgeon Lake, SK. The Officiant will be Bishop Adam Halkett. The Honourary Pallbearers are all those who knew and loved Jonas. The Pallbearers are Jonas Halkett, Lee Johnson, Casper B-Johnson, Dennis Ratt, Kelly Mirasty, & Floyd Naytowhow. The Interment will take place at the West Central Cemetery in Sturgeon Lake, SK.
