It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of Johnny Joe Besskkaystare, late of Wollaston Lake, SK on September 19^th, 2021, at the age of 25 years.   Johnny was born on September 5^th, 1996, in Prince Albert, SK.   Johnny will be lovingly remembered by his mom Joan Besskkaystare (Kevin); his siblings Jina (Dwight), Joshua, Jana (Alex), and Jonathan; his nephews Alexander, Jamie, Joseph & Carl; his uncles & aunties Joyce (Gordon), Mary Jane (Jerry), Philip (Marjie), Judy (Anthony), Joseph (Karen), Nap (Celine) and Sally (Martin); his grandparents Rosalie Gazayou; his cousins Cheryl, Jennifer, Doreen, Daniel, Nathan, Julie, Julia, Jody, Ethan, Keathan, Billie Jean, Nicole, Gerald, Corine, Carline, Destiny, Philip Jr, Saddie, Spencer, Kyle, Richard, Candra, Shayanne, Martina, Chris, John, Mathew, Celina, Annita, Bradly, Colleena, Kaitlyn, Brendon, Mary-Madeline, Jucinta, Rebecca, Audrey, Rosina, John, Adam, Jacob (Petrina) Morin, Travis, Georgette, and Georgina.  As well as numerous other family members.  Johnny was predeceased by his dad Joseph J. Besskkaystare; his grandparents Nicola Laban and Alphonse (Mary) Besskkaystare; his siblings Jamie, Joanne, Joanna, Jayden, & Nayden; his cousin Doreena; his uncles & aunties Rosalie, Suzanne, Joseph, Peter, and Linda.  As well as numerous other family members.  A Wake Service will be commencing Friday, September 24^th, 2021, at the residence of Joan Besskkaystare in Hatchet Lake, SK.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 27^th, 2021, at 2:00 PM at St. Adrian Roman Catholic Church in Hatchet Lake, SK.  The Officiant will be Father Joji Chandamala.  His Honourary Pallbearers are      Richard Tsannie, Person Benonie, John Tsannie, James Besskkaystare, Curtis Tsannie, Marcus Denechezhe, Marco Denechezhe, Merick Denechezhe, Micheal Denechezhe, Johnny Kkaikka, Jason Josie, Brendan Hugarth, Mason Joseyounen, Lindon Joseyounen, Joshua Denechezche, Allen Joseyounen, Jamie Natomagan, & Pierre Dzeylion.  His Pallbearers are Jana Besskkaystare, Nap Besskkaystare, Jain Besskkaystare, Travis Besskkaystare, Jonthan Besskkaystare, Chris Besskkaystare, Judy Laban, John Besskkaystare, Joshua Besskkaystare, Bradly St. Pierre, Kevin Kkaikka, Brendon St. Pierre, John Moise, Jacob Moise, Adam Moise, & Sally Dzeylion.  An Interment will take place at the Hatchet Lake Cemetery in Wollaston Lake, SK.  Condolences can be sent to the family on our website at www.mackenziechapel.ca.  Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium – Shellbrook Funeral Home.  Brian & Bev Stobbs, Mark Gyoerick – Mel Curle. 306.763.8488.
