Jean Paul Beaulac, known affectionately as “Johnny” passed away on June 15th, 2018 at the age of 55 years.
Johnny grew up on the family farm in Victoire, SK, with his eight siblings. He met the love of his life, Léanne Grimard, in Debden, SK and they were married September 27, 1986. They moved to Prince Albert, and built their home in Spruce Home in 1999, where they raised four children together.
Everyone who met Johnny knew he was a very hard working man. He worked sixteen years at the Sask Wheat Pool, and in 1997 he started his own contracting business: J Beaulac Contracting.
He was the definition of a family man, and is survived by his wife, Léanne, and his four children Kailyn (Jeremy), Danica (Philippe), Zachary (Kennedy), and Alexie; his siblings Clement (Marianne) Beaulac, Jocelyne (Roger) April, Michel (Hélène) Beaulac, Gérald (Verna) Beaulac, Murielle (Paul) Lehouillier, Adrien (Celine) Beaulac, Henri (Lise) Beaulac, and Charlie (Alanna) Beaulac; his mother-in-law, Aline Grimard; Léanne’s siblings Suzanne (Guy) Lehouillier, Phillip (Suzanne) Grimard, Richard (Heather) Grimard, Gerald (Marie-Anne) Grimard, and Henri Grimard. Johnny was predeceased by his parents, Léo and Rose Beaulac; and his father-in-law, Gaston Grimard.
Throughout his life Johnny had many beloved pastimes. He was a huge part of the Prince Albert horse community and served on the board as President of the RRRR Arena for 5 years. He loved sports and was always actively involved in his children’s sports teams whether it was hockey, soccer or softball. He was a tremendously supportive father and never hesitated to help with math homework, attend school musicals and to fiddle with cars in the shop. He will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by many for his bright smile, trademark hair, and his sarcastic sense of humour.
The Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday June 20, 2018 at 7:00pm with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. The Celebration of Johnny’s life will be on Thursday June 21, 2018 at 2:00pm, celebrated by Father Travis Myrheim and Father Tuyen Vu. Both services will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church 260-25th Street East Prince Albert, SK.
