John S. Strelioff
October 15, 1916 – November 19, 2012
STRELIOFF – John, of Saskatoon passed away peacefully at Stensrud Lodge on November 19, 2012. John was born on October 15th, 1916 near Blaine Lake, SK. John was born to Russian immigrant parents, was raised and farmed in the Petrofka area. On July 21st, 1954 he married the love of his life Grace Popoff and they shared 54 wonderful years together. John and Grace farmed fulltime until 1964, and then moved to Saskatoon. John continued to farm part-time while enjoying many years of employment at Western Mobile Homes. John enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, spending time at their cabin at Cochin Lake. He is survived by his sons, Donald, John (Mona) and Douglas; grandchildren Chelsey (Trevor) Hobman and Karsten; cousins Bob, David, Jack and their families. John was predeceased by his loving wife Grace in 2008; sister Marion; brother Fred; sister-in-law Helen Popoff; and brother-in-law Lindsay Popoff. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Gospel Chapel in Blaine Lake. Interment to follow in the Petrofka Cemetery.
