John Andrew Palidwar
It is with profound sadness the family of John Palidwar announces his passing after a short battle with cancer on Saturday, June 27, 2020.
John was born in Honeymoon, Saskatchewan on December 30, 1934 to William and Nellie Palidwar. John was very eager to learn the farming trade from his father.
John married Deanna Lavoy on August 5, 1955. They were blessed with seven children: Debbie (Doug) Brown, Wendy (Roger) Hamonic, Gary (Kathy Bergen), Tracy (Lyndon) Pease, Kelly (Lynn Chretien), Cory (Stacey Coulthard) and Dana (Lyle Moffatt).
John’s passions included farming, gardening, fishing, traveling, camping, cutting wood, snowmobiling and skiing. Dad loved life and always enjoyed new adventures! Some of us were lucky enough to travel to Puerto Vallarta with Dad in November 2019. He loved the sun! Winter was special to him as well; having gone for his last snowmobile ride March 2020.
John was very proud of his 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife of 65 years, Deanna, his children and grandchildren, his sister Karen Mckay of Vancouver, sister-in-law Mary Palidwar and brother-in-law Marcel (Bucky) Lavoy and his wife Pat.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Walter and Ron, and his father and mother-in-law Rene and Laurette Lavoy.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Nipawin Hospital, as well as Homecare and Northeast EMS.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in John’s memory may be made to Twin Lakes Trail Blazers Box 882 Nipawin, SK S0E 1E0. To send online condolences please visit www.coventryfuneralservices.ca.
