Charles, Rebecca (Louie), Marilyn (Dwayne), Russell (Jenny), Frankie, Steve, Beatrice Linklater, Leonard Thomas, Armand Ballantyne; his 21 grandchildren; his aunties, Susan (Lloyd), Evelyn (Colter), Marie Louise, Lizette Olsen; his uncles, Gilbert (Clara), David (Doreen), Graham (Eileen) Linklater, Louie Mason, Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by, his daughter, Nadine Catherine; his parents, George and Madeline (nee Ballantyne) Linklater; his father-in-law, Fred Ballantyne; his adopted sibling, Ernest Ballantyne; his in-laws, Jackie (Archie), Douglas, Johnston, Franklin Ballantyne, Etienne Ballantyne, Dennis McCallum, Art Dorion, Brenda Linklater, Thomas Charles; his grandparents, Peter and Catherine Linklater, Peliage and Noah Ballantyne; his aunties, Mary Ann Mason, Margaret Custer, Ann Ballantyne, Agnes Cook, Josephine Ballantyne; his uncles, William Ballantyne, JB Custer, Norvil Olsen, Obert Cook, Solomon Custer; his cousins, Howard, Christopher, Sanford, Karen, Sheri Custer, Vernon Linklater, Ovide, Peter, Alex, Virginia, Mervin Ballantyne, Irene, Norvil Olsen, and Claudia Ballantyne.

The Prayer Service for John will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, October 11, 2021, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. The Wake Service will be held the evening of Monday, October 11, 2021, and Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Pelican Narrows Community Band Hall, in Pelican Narrows, SK; the Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Pelican Narrows Community Band Hall, in Pelican Narrows, SK.
