John Vincent Brenten Guedo It is with deep sadness that the family of John Vincent “Vince, J.V.” Guedo announces his passing on June 30, 2026, at Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert, surrounded by his family. He was 86 years old.
Vince is lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Annie (Trach); his sons, Michael and Marty (Marita); his four grandsons, Dillan, Keenan, Ben, and Jaxon; his brothers, Donald (Janice), Ken (Jean), and Robert (Audrey); his sister, Kathy; his close cousins J.R. McDonald (Donna) of Calgary, Florence McDonald of Burnaby, BC and many other cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his longtime friends Greg and Marg Christakos, as well as his dear friend of 55 years, Jack Lang.
He was predeceased by his father, Andrew; his mother, Katherine (née McDonald); his second mother, Elizabeth (née Kurtenbach); his brother, James and his wife Sylvia (née Sprecker); and his brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Joyce Trach.
Born and raised in Prince Albert, Vince met his wife, Annie, in 1964, and they were married on May 6, 1967. Together, they raised their two sons, Michael and Marty, in Prince Albert. Vince enjoyed a long and respected career as a journeyman electrician, starting out in residential work, and gradually transitioning to industrial work. His career spanned more than 40 years and included projects such as the Prince Albert Pulp and Paper Mill, as well as well as many projects in the uranium and potash sectors throughout the province. After retiring in the early 2000s, Vince kept busy outdoors — cutting the grass, watering the plants, gardening, and painting — and never missed a chance to complain about the City of Prince Albert!
The family wishes to thank the staff at Rose Garden Hospice for their professional and compassionate care, and the nursing staff at the Victoria Hospital. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director, Prince Albert, SK 306-763-3322.
