John was born on April 20, 1921, in Nistowiak, SK, and passed away on October 6, 2015, in Stanley Mission, SK, at the age of 94 years. He is survived by his loving family, his sons and daughters, Harry (Rosie) Cook, Edward (Flora) Cook, Emily (Alpheus) McLeod, Phyllis Roberts, Sarah (Jim) Waldock and Jeannie (Oliver) McLeod, his special grandchildren, Flora (Marcus) Dyck, Bruce (Nancy) Cook, Mark McLeod and              Sarah McKenzie, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Susan (nee McKenzie) Cook, his sons, Stanley Cook and Floyd Cook, his lifetime friend, Malachi Charles, his granddaughters, Veronica Cook, Margaret McLeod and Tara Cook, several great grandchildren, his parents, Solomon and Elizabeth Cook, his brothers, Thomas, Ezekiel, Stanley, William and Norman, his sisters, Lydia (nee Cook) McLeod, Lisa Cook, Betsy (nee Cook) McLeod and Mary (nee Cook) Taylor, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Abel and Rosie McKenzie, and numerous other relatives. Interment took place at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Stanley Mission, SK.
