JOEL PAUL GAUDET

April 27, 1939 – February 19, 2013

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Joel Gaudet. He leaves to mourn his loving family: his wife Lucille (née Lefrancois); his daughter Lisa (Gerry) Bueckert, Brad and Scott; his son Mark (Dori) Gaudet, Lauren and Jessica; his daughter Jackie (Don) Hendrickson, Austin and Taylor Chappell, Victoria and Michael Hendrickson; his brother Laurier (Michelle) Gaudet; his sisters Diane Roy, Dorothee (Robert) Cousin, Cécile (John) Pelletier, Marielle (Neil) Gareau, Madeline (John Norris) Gaudet; his brothers-in-law Ronald Lefrancois, Marcel Berthelette; his sisters-in-law Solange “Sally” Gaudet as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Lionel and Yvonne Gaudet; three brothers Michel, Wilfred and Hubert; one sister Pauline Berthelette; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Louis and Jeanne Lefrancois; his brothers-in-law Maurice and Allan Lefrancois; sisters-in-law Louise and Simone Lefrancois; two nephews Charles Berthelette and Martin Roy. Joel was born on a farm between Bellevue and Hoey, SK where he took his schooling at Argonne School. Joel had a successful career as an electrician in Prince Albert and surrounding area for over 50 years. His family and his work were the love of his life. Joel had a strong Catholic faith and demonstrated this in his weekly involvement in his Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 23 from Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 – 4 Avenue West by Father Maurice Fiolleau. Inurnment of cremated remains will take place at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens at a later date.
