Surrounded by his beloved family, Joel Thomas Edward Ahenakew passed away on the 26th day of December 2014 at the age of 24 years. 

The Wake Service in honor of Joel will commence on Sunday, December 28th, 2014 at noon from the Ahtahkakoop First Nation Band Hall, with the Funeral Service taking place on Tuesday, December 30th, 2014 at 11:00 am also from the Ahtahkakoop First Nation Band Hall.
