Bodnarchuk, Jerry – October 1, 1926 – September 30, 2012. Jerry was born in Toki, Ukraine. He arrived in Canada as a young man. He met and married Mary (Klym) from Weirdale, Sk in 1950. They started their married life together on a farm near Weirdale and raised two daughters. Farming became his way of life. He was a kind, gentle and caring man who enjoyed having his grandchildren and great-grandchildren come to visit on the farm. He would love to reminisce about things they did and said when they were very little. He loved to have his neighbors and friends stop by for a coffee and a chat, any time of day or evening…the door was always open and coffee and company was always on. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and participated in local events that they supported. This paid tribute to his time served during WWII. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him regardless whether it was for many years or just as a brief acquaintance. The twinkle in his eye and the smile on his face was for all. Jerry is survived by: his daughters: Helen (Garry) Wouters and Cathy (Brian) Wojciechowski; his grandchildren: Kelly (Shane) Wouters, Kristen Wouters, Kurtis Wouters, Natasha Wojciechowski, and Kolby Wojciechowski and his great-grandchildren: Ashley, Taylor, Brady, Jaiden, Mackenzie and Weston. As well as relatives in the Ukraine. Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Mary in 2008; his parents, two brothers and a niece in the Ukraine. A funeral service will be held Thursday, October, 4, 2012 at 10:00 at Mackenzie Chapel, 130 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert. Arrangements in care of Northern Funeral Service, MacKenzie Chapel.
