Jenny Rhodes

February 5, 1969 – October 25, 2020

PAGHS was blessed with the addition of Jenny Geraldine Rhodes in June of 2007.  Jenny quickly became an integral part of Ramsey home and because of the shenanigans and fun she decided she would call it “crazy house”.  She would sign it to the staff and when the staff would sign it back to her she would just laugh and laugh.

Jenny had to greet everyone at the door and would carefully lift your arm to inspect for a watch – watches were important to Jen.  Jenny would let you know in her very own way what was important to her and what she wanted, whether it was picking pink and purple decor and butterflies for her room, knocking on the window to get peoples attention or pointing out every decoration of the Easter bunny, Ghosts or Santa “Ho Ho” – there was no doubt what Jenny wanted.

Jenny had a special bond with the family at Ramsey home, she loved to help bake, she would ask to go to town, and would help herself to your keys to encourage you to take her for a drive.  If the ride happened to include snacks Jenny was even more excited, especially if it was Coke.  Jenny liked her snacks and would help herself or clasp her hands together as she asked staff for “more please”. Cheese and mushrooms often elicited a long “Mmmmmm” and a giggle as they were her favorites.

When Jenny wasn’t busy joking around or tickling staff you could find her dancing.  The excitement that ensued around camp was always a highlight for the entire home, but especially Jenny.  She loved animals, parties, dancing, music, swimming, food and having fun and this was all had in one fantastic week at camp.  Beyond her life at Ramsey home Jenny loved going to work, she attended Kin Enterprises Inc.   Jenny is survived by her siblings, Peter, Connie and Debbie, and her Ramsey Home family and friends.  A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at South Hill Cemetery.  Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director, Prince Albert, SK 306-763-3322.
