It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the age of 60. She had recently returned to her birth place of Prince Albert to spend the last few weeks to be with her family, and upon her passing she was surrounded by loving family. Jennie was born on June 3, 1952 in Prince Albert, SK and fought a courageous lengthy fight with diabetes. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide in the health field. Jennie loved travelling, listening to music, visiting family and friends. She will always be remembered for her generosity, kindness and spreading her butterfly wings of love to others; she liked so much to bring joy to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her son Jamie (Nancy) of Airdrie, AB and their children Demi and Tyson; her daughter Jennifer of Parksville, BC and her son Lincoln; her brothers Alfred (Donalda), Larry (Beatrice), Floyd (Sophie), Wayne (Tammy) and Brendon; her sisters Sheila, Brenda and Dawn; numerous nieces and nephews; her foster sister Doris (Mike) Struhar and their daughter Michelle. Jennie was predeceased by her husband Gary Kammer; her parents Alfred and Margaret (nee Vermette); her foster parents Charles and Flora Dore; her brothers Charlie, Clifford, Kid Roger, Curly, Walter and Johnny; and her sisters Linda, Diane, Barbara and Reginna. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 pm. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at St. Michaels Parish, 1505 – 13th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with celebrant Reverend Father Travis Myrheim.
