Jean Freeland

January 16, 1936 – February 8, 2025

 

Jean Freeland, aged 89, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, February 8, 2025 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK.

Jean was born on January 16, 1936 in Prince Albert, SK.  She worked many administrative jobs throughout her career and raised two daughters.  She was a loving and involved grandparent to five grandchildren.  Jean and Bruce spent many happy years with family and friends at their summer home on Lac La Ronge, and also enjoyed travelling to warmer weather in winter.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Bruce, her daughter Maria Lynn, her parents John and Myrtle Horne, and her mother and father-in-law Mary and George Freeland.  She is survived by her daughter Gwen (Shawn) Banks, grandchildren Megan (Tanner) Marcer, Amanda (Brandon) Krishan, Thomas (Gill) Latzkowski, Victoria (Eric) Bortolotti, Nicholas (Sarah) Krishan, brother Jim (Agnes) Horne, son-in-law Ron Czemeres, great grandchildren Mason, Harper, Wyatt, Luca and Eli.  We will always remember the love and support she brought to our lives.

Jean also leaves other family members and friends who will sadly but fondly miss her.

A private celebration of Jean’s life will be held at a future date.
