It is with much sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, Janice Gobeil Giesbrecht on February 14, 2016. She will be remembered by her son Todd (Carson) Gaudet and their children Bryan & Zachery; daughter Bobbi (Steve) Balog & their children Tristan, Mitchell & Bella; her fiancé Mike Johnson; her father Leon Gobeil; brothers and sisters Leona (Denis) Paradis, Linda (Lawrence) Grimard, Barry (Lydia) Gobeil, Gary Gobeil (Judy Banks), Lorraine Gobeil, Marlene Gobeil Regnier, Edward (Karleen) Gobeil, Gerald Gobeil (Gail Halcro), Leonard Gobeil and Bev Gobeil; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother Fern Gobeil; sisters Yvonne Silver and Jeannette Gobeil; as well as grandparents, aunts and uncles. Janice was born on July 15, 1953 in Prince Albert, SK where she spent the majority of her life. She eventually moved to Alberta for a while and then Saskatoon and later moved back to Prince Albert until her passing. She loved to joke around, sing karaoke and to be with friends and family. She loved having her grandchildren spend weekends with her, spoiling them and watching them play hockey and basketball. At Janice’s request a Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at South Hill Cemetery with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. She will be laid to rest with her two sisters. After the interment a gathering to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 133 – 8th Street East, Prince Albert, SK and all are welcome to join us to share your memories of Janice. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made the Royal Canadian Legion, 133 – 8th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. S6V 0V8. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
