Jimmy was born at the Holy Family Hospital in Prince Albert, SK, on December 14, 1961, to Ken and Mary Lou (née Eagle) Bird. He passed away on March 25, 2026, at Rose Garden Hospice, Prince Albert, SK, after a brief battle with cancer.

He is survived by his siblings, Betty Jean (Derek) Quinn, Ken (Shelley), David (Christine), Eleanor (Rob) Kaufhold, Carol Ann (Randy) Short, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.

Jimmy spent some of his best times outdoors, with his dogs, in the north, or around a campfire. He especially loved sharing stories and music with his guitar.  Heaven just received the life of the party!
