Jacqueline (Jacquie) Armande Marie Csik (Samoila)
November 9, 1944 –August 30, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jacqueline Armand Marie Csik nee Samoila, late of Fort Frances, Ontario formerly of Prince Albert, SK announces her untimely passing on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Riverside Hospital in Fort Frances, ON, at the age 76. Jacquie was born on November 9, 1944 in Regina, Saskatchewan to George and Rose Anne Samoila. She grew up in Prince Albert, SK moving to Fort Frances at the age of 17 to attend Nursing School.
After graduating from nursing, Jacquie worked at the La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances for seven years and at the medical clinic for 8 years. While attending school Jacquie met her future husband Elmer Csik. They were united in marriage on April 24, 1965 in Prince Albert. They made their home in Fort Frances, ON. They were blessed with a son, Gregory in 1966 and a daughter Nicole in 1972. Following the birth of her children Jacquie worked as a dental assistant before joining the school system as an education assistant and stayed until her retirement. Jacquie loved to bake so sharing her goodies with family and friends, near and far made her day. Jacquie had a great sense of humor and a memorable and contagious laugh that we will hold on to. She loved to reminisce about the old days and there was always a story to tell. When visiting Prince Albert by either car, train or plane, Jacquie would always say that being back in the Prairies was like a breath of fresh air. Jacquie was a proud cancer survivor of 32 years and attended the Relay for Life when she was able.
Jacquie will be greatly missed by her children Greg and Nicole; her precious Bella Rose who was constantly by her side; siblings George Samoila Jr; Gisele (Dwight) Krauss and family Mercedes (Bob) Hyggen and family, Sister in laws Christine Samoila and family and Norma Csik and family.
